FC Tyumen is a football club with a rich history, founded in 1961 in the city of the same name. During its long history, the club managed to play in the Premier League in 1992, 1994-1995 and 1997-1998, as well as in the Football National League Championship from the 2014/15 season to the 2018/19 season. Following the 2022/23 season, FC Tyumen returned to the First League, demonstrating high results and ambitious plans for the future.
Since 2006, the club resumed membership in the Professional Football League, and in 2008, significant changes took place in the management and symbols of the club. Under the leadership of the president of the mini-football club "Tyumen" Alexander Valentinovich Popov, the team acquired black and white colors, which became its calling card.
One of the significant achievements of the club was participation in the Russian Cup 2012/13, where FC "Tyumen" beat Vladikavkaz "Alania" in the 1/16 finals with a score of 2:1, and then advanced to the 1/8 finals, where they met CSKA. The following season, 2013/14, the club again showed its best side, beating St. Petersburg "Zenit" in the 1/16 finals with a score of 2:0 and taking first place in the "Ural-Povolzhye" zone of the PFL Championship.
