Uma2rman

Description

The Uma2rman group, founded in 2004 by brothers Vladimir and Sergey Kristovsky, is one of the brightest and most successful musical groups in Russia. Vladimir and Sergey, who had previously worked in different musical projects, decided to join forces, which led to the creation of a unique musical style that combines sincere lyrics and ironic texts.

The first successes were not long in coming: already in 2003, at Zemfira’s concert in the Moscow club “16 tons” The Kristovsky brothers presented their song “Praskovya” to the public. In 2004, the tracks “Praskovya” and "Say goodbye" became hits, and the group was awarded the MTV Russian Music Awards in the “Best Debut” category.

Uma2rman quickly gained popularity thanks to their soundtracks for films such as "Night Watch" Timur Bekmambetov. Their first album "In the city of N" went platinum, selling over a million copies. Presentation of the second album “Or maybe it’s a dream” in 2005, attracted more than 15,000 spectators at the Olimpiysky sports complex.

The group continued its close collaboration with cinema, writing the title song for the series “Daddy's Daughters” and participating in the creation of the soundtrack for the cartoon “Belka and Strelka. Star dogs." Their albums “What Dreams May Come” (2008) and “Everyone is crazy in this town” (2011) contain many popular compositions, such as “You Won’t Call” and "Candle".

Uma2rman have repeatedly become winners of the MUZ-TV award and participated in the largest festivals in the country, such as “Invasion” and "Maxidrom". In 2015, the group celebrated its anniversary with a large solo concert at Crocus City Hall, and in 2016 they released the album “Sing, Spring,” which took first place on the iTunes chart on the first day of sales.
