Runa Basketball Club is a professional team that has become a prominent representative of Moscow in the VTB United League and the Russian Cup. The history of the club began in 2004, when the Runa-Basket youth basketball club was established. Since then, the team has gradually developed and in 2013 reached a new level, becoming the men's team of the First League of the Russian Championship.
With each season, Runa moves further and in 2016 began to compete among the strongest teams of the second division of the Super League under the auspices of the Russian Basketball Federation. In 2017, the club received the status of a Professional basketball Club, confirming its high professionalism and serious attitude to sports.
In 2019, the Runa Basketball club received bronze medals from the junior Basketball League, confirming its ability to reach the podium in various age categories.
