BC Uralmash

Uralmash basketball team – a historically significant sports club, founded in 1960 on the basis of several teams that participated in all-Union and republican competitions. With continuous development and rapid growth, the Uralmash team has achieved great success in the world of basketball.

The Uralmash men's team is a 20-time champion of the RSFSR and a three-time winner of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the RSFSR. The team also has experience playing in the top league of the USSR championships. Despite temporarily leaving the major league, Uralmash continues to prove its strength and returns with new victories.

In the 2015/2016 season, the Uralmash team took a bronze medal in the Sverdlovsk region amateur basketball championship. This success allowed the team to take part in the Super League of the third division of the Super League, where they demonstrated their strength and professionalism.

In the 2016—2017 season, under the leadership of Stanislav Istomin, the Uralmash team entered Super League-3. The final match of this season against Altai Basket was intense and ended in the last second of the game thanks to a three-point shot by team captain Pavel Trushnikov.

In subsequent seasons, the Uralmash team continued to demonstrate its strength and professionalism. In the 2017/2018 season they became the bronze medalist of the tournament in Super League-2, and in the 2018/2019 season they moved to Super League-1, where they successfully performed in the quarter finals.

The team's impressive success came in the 2020/2021 season, when Uralmash won silver medals in the Super League, losing only to Samara in the final. In the next two seasons, the team continued to show its dominance, becoming the winner of the Super League.

Today, starting with the 2023/2024 season, the Uralmash team continues its great journey in the world of basketball, playing in the VTB United League. The best players and coaches work to build a strong and dynamic team that can overcome any obstacles and reach new heights.
