Description

Basketball club Zenit is a Russian team, which since 2014 has been a department of a football club with the same name. Zenit, which existed from 2007 to 2014, transferred its main roster and rights to participate in the VTB United League and EuroCup to this team.

During its existence, Zenit has shown decent results. In the first season in the VTB United League, the team took fifth place, and reached the 1/8 finals in the EuroCup. 2015 was especially successful for the team - 11 victories in a row and silver medals in the Russian Cup.

At the beginning of 2017, Zenit became an independent legal entity and a subsidiary of FC Zenit. The club continued to be led by head coach Vasily Karasev, and the roster was regularly replenished with new professionals.

The club also created its own farm club called Zenit-Farm, which played in Super League-1 and in 2019 was renamed Zenit-2. This team will participate in Super League-2 and consists of young players who can also play in the VTB United Youth League and be involved in the main team if necessary.

The 2019/2020 season became special for Zenit, as the team was invited to participate in the Euroleague 2019/20. If you want to support the team and see them perform live, you can buy tickets on our website. There you can also see the schedule and poster of events in which the Zenit Basketball Club participates.
