Avtodor Basketball Club is one of the most successful and well-known teams in Russian basketball. Founded in 1960 as Spartak and then renamed Avtodorozhnik and finally Avtodor, the Saratov-based club has achieved significant success both domestically and internationally.

Avtodor Basketball Club was the first in Russia to stand up to the invincible CSKA. The team has twice become the regular season champion in the Super League A (in 1997 and 1998). Avtodor has participated in European club tournaments for twelve consecutive seasons, including the Euroleague Basketball.
