Teona Kontridze — an outstanding Georgian and Russian jazz singer, actress and TV presenter, whose talent and charisma won the hearts of millions of fans. Born into a musical family, Teona showed an interest in art from an early age, which predetermined her brilliant career.
In 1999, Theona was cast in the musical “Metro,” where her talent was noticed and appreciated. The musical's cast included such stars as Anton Makarsky, Svetlana Svetikova and Dmitry Pevtsov. Three years later, Teona decided to leave the theater and start a solo career.
In 2000, she performed the soundtrack to the film “Silver Lily of the Valley,” which became an important milestone in her career. Soon after this, Teona created her own musical group, which changed its composition several times, but invariably delighted listeners with high-quality music. At different periods, such musicians as Vladimir Kryzhanovsky (saxophone), Anton Revnyuk (bass guitar), Egor Dergachev (piano), and others played in the group.
In addition to her musical career, Teona is actively involved in television projects. In 2014, she became the host of the culinary show “The Right to Eat and Sing.” on the Dozhd TV channel. In 2019 and 2021, she hosted the “New Wave” competition. together with Demis Karibidis and Nikolai Tsiskaridze, respectively. In 2022, Teona became the host of the show “Big Jazz” on the channel "Culture".
