Yuri Tsokurov

Yuri Tsokurov is an outstanding artist of the modern theater, whose career is rapidly gaining momentum on the stages of Russia. Born on November 26, 1992, Yuri showed his musical talent from an early age. Having graduated from the Krasnodar Music and Pedagogical College in 2012 in the accordion class, he entered the top ten accordionists of Russia according to the program "Play the accordion". His talent has been repeatedly recognized with awards at various vocal and instrumental competitions, including the prestigious competition "Singing Mask".

Not limiting himself to music, Yuri decided to develop his acting skills and entered the Boris Shchukin Theater Institute. His stage debut took place in December 2015 in the title role of the play "Peter Pan" on the New Stage of the Vakhtangov Theater, which marked the beginning of his successful theatrical career.

In September 2016, Yuri became part of the First Studio of the Vakhtangov Theater and in November he debuted on the Main Stage as the Boy in Rimas Tuminas's production of "Oedipus Rex". Since the beginning of 2018, he has been a permanent member of the troupe of the Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theater.

Yuri Tsokurov was remembered by the audience for his bright roles: Shabrin in "Someone Else's Wife and Husband Under the Bed", Mitya in "Poverty is Not a Vice", Vasya Shustry in "Hot Heart", Krapilin and the Commander-in-Chief in "Run", the Musician in "Peer Gynt" and many others.
