Yulia Ilyinichna Rutberg — outstanding Russian theater and film actress, People's Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia — Alanya. Born on July 8, 1965 in Moscow into a family of famous artists. Her father, Ilya Rutberg, was the founder of the world's first department of pantomime and plastic arts, and her mother, Irina Suvorova, taught music.

Yulia Rutberg was educated at the Boris Shchukin Theater School, where she studied on the course of A. A. Kazanskaya. In 1988, she became part of the troupe of the Evgeni Vakhtangov Theater, where she has been serving for more than 25 years.

Rutberg is known for her bright and memorable roles in theater and cinema. She created many unique images, such as Zoyka in “Zoyka’s Apartment”, Jenny-Malina in “The Beggars’ Opera”, Dvoira in “Sunset” and many others. Her talent combines irony, eccentricity and deep psychologism, which makes each of her performances unforgettable.
