Description
Rammstein — is a German industrial metal band known for its outrageous lyrics. They were formed in January 1994 in Berlin and since then their composition has not changed.
Rammstein's musical style, ironically called "dance metal" (Tanzmetall), includes elements of industrial metal, electronic music and alternative metal. Most of the group's compositions have the same rhythm, but their work also contains more complex compositions. They do not acknowledge the influence of the group Kraftwerk and classify their music as different styles of rock music, such as hard rock, gothic metal, nu metal, symphonic metal, progressive metal and alternative metal.
The author of all lyrics, except cover versions, is Till Lindemann. The list of lyrics can be divided into album and non-album. Each album has its own theme and concept, and the songs included in the album follow these themes. For example, the album "Sehnsucht" is dedicated to strange and perverted desires. Each song on this album describes one of them: “Tier” (“Beast”) — incest and pedophilia, "Bestrafe mich" ("Punish me") — sadomasochism, "Bück dich" ("Bend over") — violence and adultery. The album "Liebe ist für alle da" ("Love for everyone"), dedicated to love, contains five bonus tracks not related to the theme of the album.
