About event
The National Center for the Performing Arts invites the Boris Eifman Ballet Theater to tour with the production “Anna Karenina”. Based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy and accompanied by the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, this performance demonstrates deep psychological drama and emotional tension. Choreographer Boris Eifman focused on the love triangle between Anna, Karenin and Vronsky, conveying all the dramatic aspects of this story through the plasticity of the body.
Ballet "Anna Karenina" is distinguished by a high level of performing technique and choreography that accurately conveys the psychological vicissitudes of the novel. Eifman removed all the secondary plot lines, focusing on the inner world of the main characters. The play shows how passion and “basic instinct” can destroy social norms, maternal love and a person’s inner world. Anna Karenina, absorbed in sensual attraction, is ready to make any sacrifice, which leads to tragic consequences.
The National Center for the Performing Arts provides audiences with the opportunity to enjoy this outstanding work. Spacious halls, modern technical equipment and comfortable conditions make a visit to the center pleasant and memorable. Tour of the Boris Eifman Ballet Theater – This is an event not to be missed.
