The final of the revived Intervision will take place in the capital!
The history of the Intervision contest began in the mid-20th century as the socialist countries' response to Eurovision. It was held from 1965 to 1980 and became a springboard for such renowned performers as Karel Gott, Lili Ivanova, and Alla Pugacheva. The latter, with her 1978 performance of "Vse Mozhet Koroly" (The Kings Can Do It All), brought true victory to the Soviet pop scene. Years later, the contest received a new lease of life thanks to the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who proposed updating its format to reflect modern technology and new ideological approaches.
The goal of the revived Intervision goes beyond a simple music competition. It will become a platform for cultural exchange and humanitarian interaction between countries. Under the motto "Music is in the heart of your country," the competition aims to showcase the uniqueness of the participants' cultural traditions, strengthen universal and family values, and popularize national music on the world stage.
In 2025, more than 20 countries will take part in the competition, including representatives of BRICS, the CIS, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. Among the already announced participants are Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Venezuela, Vietnam, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, China, Colombia, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, the USA, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and South Africa. Russia will be represented at this event by the popular performer SHAMAN (Yaroslav Dronov).
Each country will select one performer or group (up to six people) to present a song of two to three minutes in the pop music genre. The use of ethnic and folklore elements of native culture is encouraged in the compositions; The performance can be in any language.
The final will be held at the Live Arena—a state-of-the-art multifunctional venue with cutting-edge technical equipment. This will allow for the creation of a spectacular world-class show and ensure high-quality broadcasting to viewers around the world. The competition will be broadcast by Channel One and the social network VKontakte.
The revival of Intervision is an ambitious step toward demonstrating that music can unite nations where politics erects barriers. You can purchase tickets for the international music competition Intervision at the Live Arena through our website.
