Metallica is the main star of the F1 Grand Prix music festival in Abu Dhabi!

On December 6, Metallica will once again take to the stage in the United Arab Emirates, marking their third visit to the country in their career. Their first show here took place in 2011 on Yas Island, and their second, in 2013, was a huge success and sold out. Now, more than a decade later, the band will delight their fans again in December 2025.

Metallica rightfully takes its place as one of the most influential and successful heavy metal bands in the music industry. Since their formation in 1981, they have sold over 150 million albums worldwide. Their latest studio album, 2023's 72 Seasons, received rave reviews from critics and won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Album in 2024. The band is currently in the midst of their M72 World Tour, which is now in its third year and continues to break attendance records, particularly in North America.

Post-race concerts by world-class music stars have become an integral part of the atmosphere at the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In previous years, the Yas Marina stage has hosted such rock titans as Muse and Foo Fighters to sold-out crowds. In 2024, more than 190,000 spectators visited the Yas Marina circuit over the four days of the Grand Prix, many of whom came to see the concerts. The return of the legendary Metallica in 2025 is expected to generate even more interest and attract even more spectators.
