Enrique Iglesias to celebrate his 50th birthday with a grand concert in Abu Dhabi

The story of Iglesias is an example of incredible perseverance and talent. Despite being the son of the legendary Julio Iglesias, Enrique chose to make his own way to fame. At the age of 20, he recorded his first album under the pseudonym Enrique Martínez, borrowing $2,500 from his nanny. The results were immediate: a million copies sold in the first week and record numbers on the Billboard Latin charts, surpassing his father’s success. His English-language debut, Bailamos, became a worldwide hit in 1999 and was featured in a film starring Will Smith, topping the charts in 32 countries.

Throughout his career, Enrique has released more than 27 #1 hits on the Hot Latin Songs chart, received 5 Grammy Awards, and amassed a collection of 190 awards. His music is a combination of Spanish passion, modern electronic rhythms and romantic lyrics, which made him one of the main innovators of pop music in the early 2000s.
