The play "No. 13D" at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre is deservedly considered one of the most popular and box office hits in Moscow

Since its premiere, the production has won an award from the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper. This is a bright comedy of situations created by Vladimir Mashkov based on the play by Ray Cooney, Out of Order. The audience will see a kaleidoscope of absurd situations and funny misunderstandings unfolding in a luxury hotel. At the center of events is the Prime Minister's assistant Richard Willey, who plans to spend the night with the secretary of the opposition leader. However, their plans are disrupted by an unexpected discovery - a corpse in the room. In an attempt to hide the traces of infidelity and get rid of the body, Richard and his assistant George find themselves embroiled in a series of absurd incidents involving the secretary's jealous husband, a suspicious waiter, and a strict nurse. The audience will laugh until they cry from the cascade of farcical situations. In the new version of the play, the main roles are played by Igor Vernik, Sergey Ugryumov and Sergey Duzhnikov instead of Yevgeny Mironov, Avangard Leontyev and Igor Zolotovitsky.

Leonid Timtsunik, who plays the role of the dead man in the closet, deserves special attention. His mastery of pantomime and martial arts allows him to impressively embody the image of the "corpse", adding absurdity and comedy to the scenes. Thanks to his talent, viewers return to this play again and again.

The scenery, stylized as a luxurious hotel room, creates an atmosphere of coziness, contrasting with the chaos on stage. The musical accompaniment by Alena Khovanskaya includes a variety of genres - from Grieg's classics to the energetic "Rock around the clock" and "Bamboleo". Lighting design by Danil Ismagilov emphasizes the drama and humor of the scenes.

The play was translated into Russian by Mikhail Mishin, commissioned by Mashkov, adding Russian flavor. Although English humor can be difficult to understand abroad, Mashkov's adaptation was a huge success thanks to the text, acting and set design.
