Leonid Agutin began his journey in the world of music as an arranger, backing vocalist and producer for more famous colleagues. This experience became an excellent school for him, thanks to which he learned the inner workings of show business and improved his skills. Real fame came to him in the mid-90s with the release of his debut album "Barefoot Boy". By that time, Agutin had already managed to get a professional musical education and serve in the border troops, which helped him to temper his character. The songs from his first album became the artist's calling card, and his unique style, combining pop music, jazz and Latin American motifs, won the hearts of millions.
After a successful start, Leonid became known for his barefoot performances on stage, with loose curly hair and in simple clothes. This simplicity combined with a sunny smile and cheerful Latin American style turned out to be exactly what the audience was waiting for.
Over time, Agutin released many albums and created bright duets with such famous artists as Angelica Varum, "Otpetye Moshenniki" and Vladimir Presnyakov Jr. His work goes beyond the usual pop music: he boldly experiments with jazz, fusion and even rock, creating a unique musical cocktail. Despite accusations of using a backing track, Leonid always emphasizes his commitment to live performance at concerts.
Agutin knows how to establish contact with the audience and share his emotions through music. Even despite the fear of open spaces, he again and again goes on stage for the sake of art and his fans.
Leonid also collaborates with foreign artists. One of the most significant projects was the collaboration with the American jazz guitarist Al Di Meola. Their joint album "Cosmopolitan Life", released in 2005, became a breakthrough and demonstrated Agutin as a world-class musician. This album received recognition from critics and listeners and was awarded the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. Buy tickets to Leonid Agutin's concert right now!
