Zemfira is going to give a concert at the ASP Arena in Kazakhstan
Zemfira is famous for her bright and frank lyrics, in which she reflects her view of the current problems of our time: from isolation and loneliness to family difficulties. Her path in music began in her youth, when she first performed on Ufa television with a song about a lazy worm. In 1999, after moving to Moscow, she released her debut album "Zemfira", which brought her popularity and recognition. The following albums, such as "Forgive Me, My Love" (2000), "Fourteen Weeks of Silence" (2002), "Vendetta" (2005), "Thank You" (2007), "Live in Your Head" (2013) and "Borderline" (2021), confirmed her status as one of the most significant rock performers in Russia.
In 2022, Zemfira left Russia and settled in Paris. Life abroad has been successful for her: now her tours take place in large stadiums and delight fans almost every year. Immersed in music, she and her nephew Artur created a new musical project called "Zemfira from Luke". The name is not related to the Gospel of Luke, but is a reference to her former band "The Uchpochmack", where she called herself Rocket, and Artur was Luke. Together they released an album of the same name - an important step in the work of Zemfira, who strives to create something significant even in difficult times. The album includes four tracks reflecting the complexities of modern times, elections and losses.
Outside of Russia, Zemfira continues to collaborate with Renata Litvinova. In the past, Litvinova shot several videos for the singer, including such works as "We are breaking up", "In me", "Live in your head" and "Goodbye". She also created a concert film "Green Theater in Zemfira", which captured the singer's performance in Gorky Park. Despite press speculation about their relationship, both have always emphasized the strength of their friendship and mutual respect. Now they live together in Paris, and in the spring of 2025 it became known that Zemfira wrote the music for Renata Litvinova's play "The Sacred Beast", where Litvinova acts as the author of the play, director and performer of the leading role.
Zemfira is not only a successful singer with a bright talent, but also a person who boldly expresses her beliefs and lives by them. However, music remains her main means of self-expression: through songs, she conveys something important and sincere. Her compositions are not just a set of words and melodies; they create a sound space for reflection and self-discovery. Each piece carries a powerful emotional charge and allows the listener to interpret it in their own way. Zemfira's sincerity sets her apart from the modern world of filters and masks. Her musical freedom keeps her work fresh and relevant for many years.
