The production of "Once Upon a Time. House." at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre has won many positive reviews from the audience.

The artistic director of the theatre, Konstantin Khabensky, was inspired by Karl Bryullov's film "The Last Day of Pompeii", which prompted him to take up directing the production. However, first a script was needed, and its creation was entrusted to Alexander Tsypkin, a popular author known for his scripts for the theatre. All the stories have one ending that is familiar to the audience: the house is about to explode, and the angels are sent to save people.

The actors of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre brilliantly embody Tsypkin’s images on stage. Their performance is distinguished by deep psychological elaboration and attention to detail. The audience believes every word and gesture of the leading actors: Igor Vernik, Irina Pegova, Artyom Bystrov, Pavel Chinaryov and Kristina Babushkina.
