Preparations for the premiere of the circus show "Pushkin's Dreams" are nearing completion in Luzhniki.
The theatrical circus show "Pushkin's Dreams" in Luzhniki is a grand production inspired by the life and work of the great Russian poet, with a special emphasis on his fairy tales. This project, created by a team of talented directors, choreographers and artists, combines circus art, theater and modern multimedia technologies in one bright show. The story of Pushkin is presented through his dreams and work: little Sashenka falls asleep to the lulling stories of his nanny Arina Rodionovna and immerses himself in the magical Lukomorye. Here he sees himself as an adult with magical powers to change the world.
The show features over sixty artists, including winners of international festivals, honored masters of sports, and champions of Russia and the world. Among them is the famous clown trio "Without No Noses", consisting of Konstantin Kopeikin, Artem Babinov, and Maxim Karpov. They play key roles in Pushkin's office, portraying his faithful assistants - Pen, Paper, and Inkwell. In 2024, the trio performed in Moscow with the interactive play "Let's Play", winning the love of the audience. Now they have accepted the invitation of director Zhanna Shmakova to participate in "Pushkin's Dreams".
The audience is immersed in the world of Pushkin's dreams, where the heroes of his works come to life on stage, and familiar lines acquire a new meaning thanks to acrobatics, dancing, and visual effects. The main idea of the show is to reveal the poet's inner world through his dreams and inspiration. The script was written by Mikhail Degtyarev, winner of numerous awards, including the Golden Mask. He created twenty dream numbers that help to understand the depth of Pushkin's talent. The plot unfolds as a kaleidoscope of memories and images from the poet's dreams. The audience witnesses encounters with characters from fairy tales: the old man from the story of the goldfish, Tsar Saltan and other heroes.
Advanced projection technologies are used to create visual effects, allowing for the illusion of traveling in time and space. The Druzhba universal sports hall is transformed into Pushkin's office, then into Lukomorye or the underwater depths of Buyan Island. Pushkin's Dreams is not just a circus show; it is an attempt to rethink the legacy of the great poet in a format that is interesting to a modern audience of all ages. The show promises to be an unforgettable event for connoisseurs of art and Russian culture.
