The transfer of New Wave to Kazan was a significant event. At a press conference with representatives of the republican and city media, the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, together with the composer and creator of the competition Igor Krutoy, announced the decision to hold the festival in Kazan. According to Igor Krutoy, the choice fell on Tatarstan due to the region's special attention to the music industry and major cultural events.

The festival will be held on a specially built modern site on the picturesque bank of the Kazanka River. The organizers have done everything possible to ensure a comfortable and safe atmosphere for guests and participants. This year, representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Latvia and even distant Australia will demonstrate their skills.
