This is a unique opportunity to see the performances of future pop music stars, assessing their talent and creativity. Igor Krutoy, composer and producer of the festival, explained the transfer of the event from Sochi to Kazan by the fact that Tatarstan pays special attention to the music industry and significant cultural events.

The winners of the competition will receive cash prizes and Crystal Waves statuettes, and all participants will be awarded commemorative diplomas and gifts. The full list of participants will be announced before the start of the festival, but the application period ended on May 15, so the names of the contestants are already known.

Last year's hosts in Sochi were Vladimir Marconi and Olimpiada Teterich. Who will host the event this year and to whom the creative evening will be dedicated remains a mystery. On the first day of the competition, traditionally, young performers from different countries aged 16 to 35 perform hits from their native places. The second day is dedicated to premieres: the contestants present new compositions for the first time. Last year, the creative evening was dedicated to Stas Mikhailov, his songs were performed by himself and his colleagues on stage - Kirkorov, Chebotina, Dolina and others.

On the second day of the competition, the jury will carefully monitor each performance, assessing not only the vocal abilities of the participants, but also their ability to hold themselves on stage, convey emotions and work with the audience. The day of premieres is new compositions from famous Russian performers who specially prepared them for the Kazan festival!

The second competition day of the "New Wave" will confirm the status of the festival as a prestigious event for young talents and a meeting place for pop stars. This day will be decisive for many participants: it will become clear then who will be able to break ahead and get closer to victory.
