From May 23 to August 31, the Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard invites spectators of all ages to the grand performance “Music of Victory”

The show is filled with an atmosphere of heroism and fortitude, and all the numbers are united by a common plot, accompanied by songs of the war years based on the poems of famous poets such as Simonov, Tarkovsky, Drunina and others. The focus is on the musical works of those times, which have become symbols of the era. Familiar melodies enhance the emotional impact of the artists' performances. Spectators will see acrobatic numbers recreating battle scenes, aerial gymnasts soaring in the air like fighter planes, and trained animals demonstrating loyalty and devotion. Archival materials and veterans' memories were used to create the show, which helped to convey the atmosphere of that time as accurately as possible and create believable images. "Music of Victory" is not only entertainment, but also an educational event that helps the younger generation better understand the history of their country and fosters a sense of patriotism.

Yuri Nikulin, after whom the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard is named, also took part in the war. This fact of his biography often remains in the shadow of his fame as a clown. Nikulin went through the entire war from beginning to end: he participated in the Finnish War and the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the medals "For Courage" and "For the Defense of Leningrad". However, the most important thing for him was not recognition, but the awareness of the duty fulfilled to the Motherland. The Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, together with the whole country, continued to give joy and hope to Muscovites even during the war years. The repertoire changed: in addition to traditional acrobatics, juggling and clowning, patriotic performances appeared, glorifying the heroism of Soviet soldiers and ridiculing the fascists. Clowns reacted sharply to the events of the front in their reprises, raising the fighting spirit of the audience. Even in the hardest days of the war, the circus arena was not empty: the artists risked their lives under bombing for the sake of smiles of the audience and faith in victory. Each purchased ticket became a contribution to the common cause of victory over the enemy.

Today tickets to the show "Music of Victory" are a tribute to the memory of the heroes of the past, the joy of their victory and gratitude for the peaceful sky above our heads!
