The Moscow Art Theatre named after A.P. Chekhov invites viewers to enjoy a comedy masterpiece called "No. 13D"

The plot revolves around Richard Willey, an assistant to the British Prime Minister, who plans to spend an evening at a hotel with the opposition leader's secretary. However, their romantic plans are ruined by the unexpected appearance of an unknown man's corpse in the room.

Vladimir Mashkov skillfully uses the dynamics and chaos of the original play, creating a real whirlpool of absurdity and absurdity on stage. Since its writing in 1990, Ray Cooney's work has gained popularity all over the world and has been repeatedly staged at theater venues. Mashkov added unique elements of the grotesque to the production and adapted the text for the Russian audience, which made the play one of the most popular in the theater.

The play amazes viewers not only with its acting skills, but also with its visual effects: three-dimensional scenery, dizzying tricks and special effects justify the name "No. 13D". The stage designer Alexander Rukavishnikov created a stage space that changes organically depending on the development of the plot. Victoria Sevryukova's costumes emphasize the characters' personalities and add visual depth to the production. Sergei Chekryzhov's music sets the right mood and enhances the comic effect.

The actors perfectly embody the director's vision. Igor Vernik as Richard Willie is magnificent in portraying his character's confusion in the face of scandal. Paulina Andreeva (other actresses played the role in different years) creates a vivid image of secretary Jane, who finds herself in the center of crazy events. Mikhail Trukhin brings even more humor with his comic talents. Each actor gets into character perfectly, creating unforgettable characters and maintaining an atmosphere of lightness and irony.

Even the role of a dead man in a hotel room, played by Leonid Timtsunik, earned high praise for the actor's amazing plasticity from both critics and viewers. In 2014, the play was awarded a theatre prize by the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets.

Visiting the play "No. 13D" is not just an opportunity to laugh at funny situations, but also a chance to think about complex issues of power, morality and human weaknesses.
