The Russian Jumping Championship 2025 in the Yubileyny Sports Complex: the best figure skaters of the country in St. Petersburg

The Russian Jumping Championship will be held in the Jubilee Ski Resort (St. Petersburg) on January 18 and 19, 2025. This unique event, which gathers the best figure skaters in the country, promises to be a real holiday for all figure skating fans.

For the fourth time, athletes will gather to find out who is the real master of jumping. The championship includes a personal competition and a team competition. Jumping is one of the most exciting elements in figure skating. Every year the skaters' skills grow, and the jumps become more and more difficult. In 2024, Margarita Bazylyuk performed an encore cascade of quadruple salchow - oiler - quadruple salchow, causing the admiration of the audience.

Tickets to the Russian Jumping Championship are an opportunity to see the performances of the most high-class athletes. According to the rules, the participants of the personal tournament must perform solo jumps and cascades. The difficulty lies in the fact that everyone is given only 2 attempts to complete the element without errors. 2 teams of 11 people participate in team competitions. The competition consists of five rounds, in each of which special requirements are imposed on jumps.

The Jumping Championship is not only a sporting event, but also an interesting show featuring figure skating stars. Last year, Alina Zagitova and Alexey Yagudin were the hosts of the tournament, and Maxim Trankov and Anna Shcherbakova covered the team news. Among the invited guests were Maria Lasitskene, Nikita Nagorny and Vic Wild.

Arseniy Fedotov and Pyotr Gumennik took the podium in individual competitions last season, and among women, the best were Adelia Petrosyan, Margarita Bazylyuk and Elena Kostyleva. The winners in pairs were Alexander Gallyamov and Anastasia Mishina, Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky, as well as Ekaterina Chikmareva and Matvey Yanchenkov.

Recall that for the first time this event received the status of a championship in 2022, and before that it was held as part of the Channel One Cup as a bonus competition.
