Cesar Frank, a Belgian composer, spent most of his life in France, where he received his musical education and became famous as a pianist and organist. This evening his famous sonata for violin and piano in A major will be performed, which was a wedding gift for violinist Eugene Ysaye and became one of the few triumphs of Frank during his lifetime.
The second part of the evening will be devoted to the late work of Johannes Brahms. His mature works are distinguished by seriousness, intellectual tension and brevity, which indicates a high degree of professionalism of the composer.
The evening's performers will be violinist Pavel Milyukov and pianist Vadim Rudenko. Pavel Milyukov is a soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic and the House of Music in St. Petersburg, an actively touring musician and a member of the jury of the International Competition. Tchaikovsky.
