Concert of Olga Volkova at the Perm Philharmonic: Yzai. Six sonatas for solo violin
The Organ Hall of the Perm Regional Philharmonic invites all music lovers to a unique event — concert of Olga Volkova “Isaï. Six sonatas for solo violin. The event will take place on June 25 at 23:00 as part of the Diaghilev Festival.

Olga Volkova — a recognized star of the world violin scene, winner of many prestigious competitions. She worked as concertmaster of the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra and since 2021 has been holding the position of concertmaster of the Mikhailovsky Theater Orchestra in St. Petersburg. Her skill and virtuosity make every performance unforgettable.
The concert will feature six sonatas for solo violin, written by the outstanding Belgian composer and violinist Eugene Ysaye. These works were created in July 1923, when Ysaye was 65 years old. Each sonata is dedicated to one of his famous violinist contemporaries: Joseph Szigeti, Jacques Thibaut, George Enescu, Fritz Kreisler, Mathieu Crickbaum and Manuel Quiroga.
These sonatas represent the pinnacle of Izaya's work and require from the performer not only the highest level of technical training, but also a deep understanding of music. Olga Volkova, possessing incredible talent and experience, is ready to take on this challenge and give listeners a truly magical evening.
