Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow

The Cathedral of Christ the Savior is a grand building erected on the site of the former cathedral, which was destroyed in 1931. Construction of the new church began in 1990 and lasted nine years. In 1999, the doors of the church were opened to visitors, and in 2000, a solemn liturgy was held here.
