Nikita Mikhalkov's Workshop "12" in Moscow

Workshop "12," under the direction of Nikita Mikhalkov, is a Moscow state drama theater with a rich heritage and traditions. Administered by the Moscow Department of Culture, the theater is located at 33 Povarskaya Street, Building 1. Founded in 1945 as the Film Actor's Studio Theater, it has undergone numerous changes and transformations. Over the years, the theater operated as the Mosfilm Studio Theater and Concert Complex and the State Film Actor's Theater. Since 2019, the theater has been known as the Theater and Cinema Center on Povarskaya Street. Throughout its history, it has been a venue for staging both classic works of Russian literature and foreign drama. Outstanding directors such as Sergei Gerasimov and Anatoly Efros have worked here.
