Variety Theatre in Moscow

The Variety Theater, located in the very center of Moscow, is located in the historical complex «House on the Embankment». This cultural institution, significant for the life of the capital, attracts guests with its updated appearance and rich past.

In 2017, at the initiative of the Mayor of Moscow, a large-scale restoration of the building began, which had not been renovated for more than half a century. The updated interior of the Variety Theater is impressive: a colonnade of the portico, pilasters, parquet with a unique geometric pattern, plaster moldings and a facade with rare terrazzo plaster. In the foyer of the first floor, restorers discovered exquisite painting hidden under layers of paint, which adds a special charm to the place.

The auditorium is equipped with new comfortable chairs and advanced lighting and sound equipment, allowing performances of any complexity to be staged. The Variety Theatre is ready to offer its visitors maximum comfort and high quality.

Such famous artists as Gosha Kutsenko, Viktor Sukhorukov, Yulia Menshova, Nonna Grishaeva, Alisa Freindlich, Oleg Basilashvili and many others have performed on the stage of the theatre. Their performances left a deep mark in the hearts of the audience.
