About event

Hurry up to buy tickets for the musical “The Empress’s Caprice”, which will take place at the Moscow Operetta Theater. This unique piece of music in two acts tells the story of Elizaveta Petrovna’s idea to open porcelain production in Russia. To do this, the Empress instructed Mikhail Lomonosov and Dmitry Vinogradov, after an unsuccessful experience with foreign specialists, to implement this delicate and secret matter.

The musical, created by librettists Dmitry Ivanov and Vladimir Trofimov, is a bright and interesting embodiment of the story of love, loyalty to the fatherland, the Russian soul and creativity. Composer Maxim Dunaevsky breathed musical form into the work.

We invite you on a three-hour musical journey through history to see that the values that were relevant two centuries ago are still of great importance today. Expect beautiful scenery, costumes, lighting and sound, as well as outstanding acting that will accompany you on this exciting and romantic journey.

Tickets for the operetta “The Empress’s Caprice” can be purchased on our website. We recommend that you hurry up and reserve the best seats using the electronic map of the hall.
