Carmen-Chopiniana in Moscow, Cultural center "Zelenograd"

The second part of the evening is «Chopiniana», a ballet in one act to the music of Frederic Chopin, orchestrated by Alexander Glazunov. Mikhail Fokine's production, created in 1909, is a striking example of his experimental approach to the art of dance. Fokine resurrects the images of the romantic ballet of the 19th century, conveying a mood of dreaminess and slight sadness. Chopin's music, filled with emotions, becomes tangible thanks to the skill of the choreographer. The program includes a solemn polonaise, a poetic waltz, a melancholic mazurka and other works that create an atmosphere of dreams and reality.
