The play "Tender is the Night. Dick and Nicole" at the Maly Theater is a long-awaited premiere that opens a new page in the theater's history. Vladimir Dragunov's production is the Maly Theater's first turn to the works of Francis Scott Fitzgerald, in particular to his famous novel "Tender is the Night". This event becomes even more significant due to the fact that the performance will take place on the new Chamber Stage, which opened in 2024.

The main character, Dick Diver, played by the talented Eldar Lebedev, finds himself in the center of complex life vicissitudes. Being a former psychiatrist, he himself needs help, trying to understand his own memories and experiences. The audience becomes witness to his internal struggle and difficult relationship with his wife Nicole.

The production will be rich and emotional, touching on important themes of love, betrayal and self-discovery. The performance invites viewers to reflect on the complexities of the human soul and its vulnerability.
