The play "The Wizard of the Emerald City" at the Gorbunov Palace of Culture invites viewers to immerse themselves in the world of magic and adventure. This exciting production tells the story of a brave girl Ellie and her faithful dog Totoshka, who are transported by a hurricane to an amazing country where all living creatures can talk. Here Ellie meets the kind sorceress Villina, who predicts that the girl will be able to return home if she helps three creatures fulfill their cherished wishes with the help of the wizard of the Emerald City - Goodwin.
Ellie puts on the silver shoes found by Totoshka in the cave of the evil Gingema, and sets off on a dangerous journey along the yellow brick road. On her way, she meets a garden scarecrow - the Scarecrow, a lonely Tin Woodman and a trembling with fear Cowardly Lion. Each of them dreams of something special: the Scarecrow wants to gain intelligence, the Woodcutter - a heart, and the Lion - courage.
The heroes come to the Emerald City together to the wizard Goodwin, who agrees to help only when they defeat the evil sorceress Bastinda. Overcoming numerous trials and dangers, the friends prove their fortitude and mutual assistance. In the end, their cherished wishes come true, and Ellie returns home.
