The play «The Bestoloch» at the «Russian Song» theater invites viewers to immerse themselves in the world of a classic sitcom based on the play by contemporary French playwright Marc Camoletti. The story tells of a married couple who hire a new maid - a narrow-minded and ugly village girl named Anna. At first glance, her stupidity and lack of education seem like ideal qualities for a servant, because they become an endless source of family jokes and humor.
However, everything changes when the house is suddenly left empty. The husband goes on a business trip, the wife goes to her parents, and Anna is sent to relatives in the village. But soon everyone returns: Anna decides not to go to boring relatives, the wife returns with her lover, and the husband - with his mistress. Now Anna faces a difficult task - to prevent the residents of the house from meeting each other.
The plot of the play «The Bestoloch» is reminiscent of Goldoni's famous comedy «The Servant of Two Masters», where the main character Anna is forced to serve several masters at once. She has to remember which of the house's inhabitants is in the bathroom, who is in the bedroom, who ordered croissants and who scrambled eggs, who is drinking whiskey and who is drinking mineral water. One careless movement or a shawl forgotten on the sofa can lead to disaster.
