The Maly Theater invites viewers to the play "It Shines, But Doesn't Warm", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great playwright Alexander Nikolaevich Ostrovsky. The play, co-authored with N. Ya. Solovyov, was first staged at the Maly Theater in 1880 and is now returning to the repertoire to delight the audience once again.
The play takes place against the backdrop of changes in society, where the old and new worlds collide. The main character, Reneva, symbolizes the new time and destroys the usual foundations, leaving those around her in search of love and meaning. Despite the fact that she "illuminated" the lives of those around her, her light did not warm anyone, which emphasizes the complexity and ambiguity of change.
The performance takes place in the historic building of the Maly Theater, which is itself a cultural and architectural monument. The theater hall has a special atmosphere that creates ideal conditions for perceiving classical works.
Don't miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Russian classics and appreciate the talented acting. Buying tickets on our website is a simple and convenient way to ensure yourself an evening in the company of great art.
