Two acts featuring the best excerpts from the ballets "Anna Karenina," "Rodin, Her Eternal Idol," "Beyond Sin," "Russian Hamlet," "The Passion According to Moliere, or The Mask of Don Juan," "Eugene Onegin," and "Tchaikovsky. PRO et CONTRA" await you. The premiere of each of these productions became a real sensation, the subject of discussion, and received enthusiastic reviews from audiences and critics. Each work of this theater reveals a subtle psychological insight. Here, behind the choreographer's intent, one can clearly discern both the personality of the literary author and the personalities of great figures (Rodin, Tchaikovsky, for example).
Only Eifman can explore the classics so precisely and accurately, and stage performances based on the most "hackneyed," popular, and well-known novels. His Anna Karenina, Eugene Onegin, Rodion Raskolnikov, and other characters are much more vivid, profound, and in some moments more relatable to the audience than in the original source material, and that is truly remarkable.
