Performance “Wedding, wedding, wedding!” at the Maly Theatre invites viewers to immerse themselves in the world of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov's classic vaudevilles. The production is based on two famous works by the great playwright - "The Bear" and "The Proposal", which the theatre presents in the genre of "scene jokes". Each of these works is a comic and at the same time an instructive story about marriage, where human weaknesses and the vicissitudes of fate are revealed easily and with humor.

In the first part of the play, “The Proposal,” the audience witnesses how mercantile interests can jeopardize future happiness. The second part, "The Bear," offers an unexpected twist: a monetary claim unexpectedly turns into a marriage proposal. Chekhov's characters, with their inherent seriousness, solve their marital problems, causing a smile and making one think about the eternal questions of love and family.
