The Moscow Operetta Theater staged the play “Cinderella” based on the play of the same name by Russian Soviet writer Evgeniy Schwartz, written in 1946 based on a French fairy tale version of the plot.
The production director of the performance was Zhanna Zherder, Honored Artist of Russia, who selected a cast consisting of famous artists such as Svetlana Varguzova, People's Artist of Russia, Vyacheslav Ivanov, Honored Artist of Russia, Alexander Markelov, Honored Artist of Russia, Olga Belokhvostova , Anastasia Pugina, Yulia Goncharova, Alexander Frolov, Vasilisa Nikolaeva, Dmitry Shumeiko and others.
The director, a professional in his field, managed to vividly and sincerely convey the plot motives of the musical. This was facilitated by the brilliant acting and beautiful voices that harmoniously combined with the music.
The stage costumes, fully consistent with the fairy-tale theme of the performance, were distinguished by their beauty and grace. The makeup on the actors was impeccable, and the scenery was thought out to the smallest detail.
"Cinderella" was first shown on the stage of the Moscow State Academic Operetta Theater on March 24, 2007. The duration of the performance was 2 hours 10 minutes with intermission.
