Description

In 1970, the long-awaited Ice Sports Palace appeared in Yekaterinburg. The need for such a Palace had existed for a long time - for many decades, the Sverdlovsk region has consistently led and continues to lead in winter sports.

In 2003-2006, the Sports Palace was radically reconstructed on the initiative of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region E.E. Rossel. The reconstruction was carried out by the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and the holding company "Leader". The Sports Palace was renamed the "Uralets" Cultural and Entertainment Complex.

Today, "Uralets" is the home arena of the famous men's hockey team "Avtomobilist". Their colleagues, representatives of women's hockey from the strongest club in Russia "Spartak-Mercury" also train here. The arena has a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the Kontinental Hockey League. "Uralets" provides its premises for holding all kinds of exhibitions. The doors of the complex are always open to city residents who love sports. The ice arena is their favorite place to relax.

Thanks to the reconstruction in 2006, "Uralets" has become one of the best concert venues in the city. VIP boxes were built in the auditorium, which allowed in conditions of increased comfort to root for the favorite hockey team "Avtomobilist" or watch bright ice shows, concerts. The total area of the complex is 32,000 m². It can accommodate 6,000 spectators at a time, and almost a million guests come here during the year.

The Uralets sports club has created conditions for children to engage in sports activities - two fitness centers with children's groups, the Silver Skate figure skating sports club, and a children's and youth Olympic reserve school for fencing.

The Uralets sports and recreational club hosts not only sports battles, but also various cultural and entertainment events. This is not only a modern sports ground, but also the largest auditorium in Yekaterinburg for concerts, forums, congresses, exhibitions, and the best ice shows of famous Russian figure skaters are regularly held here.
